FAQ
WHERE WILL THE DEVELOPMENT ACTUALLY BE?
Off Highway 18, west of Daley Canyon in Rimforest.
WHAT MOUNTAIN COMMUNITIES WILL IT SERVE?
Agua Fria, Arrowhead Villas, Cedar Glen, Crest Park, Crestline, Deerlodge Park, Blue Jay, Strawberry Flats, Skyforest, Rimforest, Twin Peaks, Lake Arrowhead and Running Springs.
ARE YOU BRINGING A MEGA-CHURCH TO THE MOUNTAIN?
No. Church of the Woods is developing the project and a beautiful new sanctuary is part of the plan, but it won’t be anything like a “mega-church.” It would make no sense to build a “mega-church” in an area with such a small population. “Mega-churches” typically have more members than our area has people. Also, we’ve always preferred David to Goliath.
WON’T THIS DEVELOPMENT HARM OUR ENVIRONMENT?
No. According to the recently released Environmental Impact Report, every environmental issue has been addressed and mitigated. Remember, this is our environment too, our home. We live, work and worship here. Everything is designed to harmonize with nature not injure it.
WHAT ABOUT ALL THE TREES THAT WILL BE CUT DOWN?
While it’s true that some trees will be felled, much of the acreage will remain undeveloped. Of the 37.3 acres originally purchased, 10.1 have been partitioned to the county for flood control and the actual development will only require about half of what’s left. Landscaping and the planting of trees will be a major part of the development.
WILL THIS TURN PART OF OUR BEAUTIFUL FOREST INTO AN EYESORE?
Take a look at the renderings we have here. You tell us.
WHAT ABOUT THE NEED FOR MORE TRAFFIC LIGHTS?
The County of San Bernardino has advised that a number of stoplights will be required over the next 30 years in the region as a whole. For our development, we will only need 1.
